Priority to safety 

Pego Thermal Power Plant’s Safety Management System was initially based on the British Standard BS 8800, and subsequently by the Portuguese Norm NP 4397 (2001), derived from the specification OHSAS 18001.

The Safety Management System, simultaneously with other internal management systems, seeks to ensure that each activity is well defined and documented, with clearly delineated responsibilities attributed to competent workers with appropriate training.

This underlines Elecgas and Pegop’s commitment to the highest possible standards of Health, Safety and Environmental management.
